Dwayne grew up on a council estate outside West London, raised by a single mother, witnessing domestic violence and, later, his mother’s imprisonment. He went through foster care and children’s homes. By the age of thirteen he had been groomed and exploited into violence, crime and Class A drug addiction, and received his first custodial sentence.

For the next seventeen years he cycled through the youth and adult prison systems, including Feltham, and survived several near-death experiences. In 2012, during his final sentence, he committed to rebuilding his identity from the inside out: daily meditation, study, therapy and disciplined routine.

On release he worked as a labourer and gardener, then did something almost nobody does. He pitched the governor of HMP/YOI Feltham directly and returned as a contracted provider, running an accredited rehabilitation programme inside the prison he had once been held in for four years.

Today he is an author, educator and consultant in human potential, commissioned by the Ministry of Justice, HMPPS, the Department for Work and Pensions and local authorities, and a private adviser to executives, founders, medical professionals and high-net-worth families.
